Lexin

Quiet desperation

Name:
Quiet desperation
Website:
A paid up member of the Crabby Old Bag contingent, and living example that looking respectable isn't a proof of good character, Lexin lives in Bangor, Wales.

She has no SO, no pets, and no children. She thinks this is a Good Thing. She has three houseplants, two of which appear to be dying. The third is planning an invasion of Poland.

She writes fanfiction under various names, including Lexin, Cerise and R. Olivia Brown. She's doing her best to stick to one name to save confusion.

Warning: (the only one you'll get) Lexin occasionally makes rude remarks about other people's fanfic in her lj. You want to make rude remarks about hers, go to her website and read it.

Even more occasionally, she recommends something she thought was good, or if not actually good, at least worth reading.

Other places to find Lexin

Chez Lexin at Journalfen

Lexin at Fanfiction.net. Yes, she has stories on ff.net rather than some whizzy archive.

Lexin at adultfanfiction.net. (That's ADULT. Use your discretion, and at the very least don't blame Lexin if the top of your head flies off.)

Lexin's own website

The communities she maintains are this one: lotrfic_crit, which is for the constructive criticism of Lord of the Rings fanfiction, and this one desert_peach for serious discussion about Donna Barr's "Desert Peach" series of drawn books. That is, of course, where 'serious discussion' has the additional meaning of 'shameless squee'.

Strange as it may seem, Lexin has a job. She works for what she describes as the Ministry of Magic, in real life a department of the (British) government. This is in a permanent state of crisis, though not (usually) through her efforts.

Her opinions are not those of her employer. They are actually those of her oldest teddy, who is beaming them to her via a satellite the other side of Venus.

On the same basis, Lexin accepts no personal responsibility for her employer's policies. She feels they are being beamed to them from Mongo.

If representatives from my employer are reading this, my opinions and those of my employer are not the same. (What part of this are you not getting?)

Lexin is a trade union activist. She sometimes comments on their activities, too, but don't go away with the impression that she adores all the comrades and believes her union is never wrong. Some of the comrades are wankers, and the union is sometimes away with the fairies.
